Name Your Poison with Luci Zahray

Capitol Crimes is delighted to welcome guest speaker Luci Zahray, “The Poison Lady,” to our Members Meeting on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. PST on Zoom.

Luci, who has a Master’s degree in Toxicology from Texas A&M, has been helping writers who need to know how they can dispatch (fictional) victims with poisons. As a retired hospital pharmacist and avid mystery reader, she quickly became the source to be consulted and offers her knowledge to many authors in need of expertise.

Luci will speak specifically about toxic common house plants (nicotine and datura family), and opium poppies. In past presentations, she has focused on other household toxins such as methanol, tobacco, hand sanitizer, and anti-freeze. Please join us for a fun and entertaining presentation from this expert.
